Guidelines for the writing of articles at Qur'anuna: Jurnal Studi Ilmu Al-Qur’an dan Tafsir are as follows:

  1. Originality: Articles must be the author's original scientific work, have never been published, and are not under consideration by other media.
  2. Language: Articles can be written in Indonesian, Arabic, or English.
  3. Scope: Articles emphasize the study of Al-Qur'an and Exegesis (Tafsir), including contemporary themes and literature studies (See Focus and Scope)
  4. Template Compliance: Manuscripts must be prepared using the official Qur'anuna Template. (Download the Template Here).
  5. Document Formatting:
  • Paper Size: A4 with 3 cm margins for Top, Bottom, Left, and Right.
  • Font: Brill for Latin text (12 pt for body, 10 pt for footnotes) and Mylotus for Arabic text (16 pt).
  • Spacing: 1.15 for body text.
  • Length: 8–24 pages, with a word count of 4,000–8,000 words

 

Articel Sytemactics:

  1. Title: Clear, assertive, and informative, maximum 16 words.
  2. Author Profile: Name (without academic degree), affiliation,  and e-mail.
  3. Abstract: Written in two languages (English/Arabic and Indonesian), maximum 200 words.
  4. Keywords: 3–7 words or phrases, separated by semicolons (;).
  5. Introduction (max 1,000 words).
  6. Method (max 500 words).
  7. Result & Discussion.
  8. Conclusion (max 250 words).
  9. References (min 15 citations)

Detailed Writing Systematics:

  1. ABSTRACT: Must provide a synopsis including: (1) Research objectives, (2) Methods, (3) Key findings/results, and (4) Conclusion/implications. It must be a single paragraph without citations.
  2. INTRODUCTION: Must be written in narrative form (no pointers). It must sequentially cover: (1) General Background: Context and contemporary data-driven cases. (2) State of the Art: Critical review of previous literature from the last 10 years. (3) Research Gap: Clear statement of what hasn't been studied. (4) Objectives: The purpose or hypothesis guiding the study. (5) Novelty: The specific contribution to the field of Qur'anic Studies.
  3. METHOD: Focus on what was done, not theoretical definitions. Must include: (1)Research Design: Approach used (e.g., qualitative, content analysis). (2) Data Sources: Primary (e.g., specific verses, tafsir books, informants) and secondary data. (3) Procedures: Techniques for data collection and analysis (e.g., thematic, comparative).
  4. RESULT & DISCUSSION
  • Integrated Narrative: Results and Discussion must not be separated into different sub-sections.
  • Analysis: Elaborate findings factually with theoretical support and comparison with previous studies.
  • Formatting: Use sub-headings without numbering. For lists, use lowercase letters (a., b., c.) or inline numbers (1), 2)).

     5. CONCLUSION: Provide a concise synthesis (not a summary of abstract). State how the objectives were met, the primary findings, implications, and suggestions for future research.

       6. REFERENCE

  • Minimum 15 references.
  • Composition: 80% from reputable journals (last 5 years) and 20% from books/other media.
  • Style: Mandatory use of Mendeley/Zotero with Chicago Manual of Style 17th Edition (full note).

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).

  • The submission file is in Microsoft Word (.doc or .docx) document file format.

  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.

  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

  • The manuscript has been checked for plagiarism using Turnitin with a maximum similarity index of 25%.
