Pengaruh Self-Control terhadap Kedisiplinan Belajar Siswa (Penelitian terhadap Siswa Kelas X MAN 2 Garut)

Abstract
Self-control has an important role in the life of each individual in order to avoid negative behavior that can hinder the learning process. Especially in adolescence, students tend to have unstable self-control and are easily influenced by the surrounding environment. Discipline is one of the main goals in character building in individuals or students. Discipline that is embedded in a person forms a strong attitude of responsibility, both towards oneself and others. When discipline has become part of students, this shows the achievement of one of the goals of education. This study aims to determine the effect of self-control on the discipline of class X students of MAN 2 Garut. This study uses a quantitative method with an associative design. The sample used was 62 students with a simple random sampling method. Data collection techniques using isntrumen in the form of self-control questionnaires and learning discipline using descriptive statistical analysis techniques and inferesnsial statistical analysis. The results showed that (1) self-control was in the moderate category with a percentage of 34%. (2) learning discipline is in the moderate category with a percentage of 43%. (3) there is an effect of self-control on student discipline of 58.9%, while 41.1% is influenced by other variabels. This study provides insight into the role of self-control in shaping student learning discipline which can be used as a basis for the development of education and guidance programs in schools.
